York is in Pennsylvania, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around York is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Pennsylvania's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

Don’t waste your money here on certificate class for EMT at HACC. My daughter was only in the class for 2 weeks and they failed her entirely for two modules that she failed. HACC said you need a 70% or higher to be able to continue. My daughter had a 68%. She requested to retake the modules. They do not let them retake modules. So roughly $1,100.00 out the window plus the cost of the book, pants and boots that they don’t supply. I can’t believe this is what schools are these days. There being paid to teach and train students and it seems like they just take your money and fail students. My daughter was supposed to attend this school in the fall but we have decided to go else where that actually teaches and isn’t all about ripping people off!

I took courses here before attending graduate school. The instructors were professional, helpful, communicative, and engaged. They were supportive beyond the classroom, genuinely cared about my professional development, and were more hands-on than instructors I had at previous institutions. I continue to use the knowledge I learned at HACC and am very satisfied with my experience here.

Absolutely loved going to school here. Back then, it was a place I loved to be. I met my wife in CIS 105, with Professor Hubler as our teacher, in September of 2007. I earned a top-notch education and walked away with a 3.95 GPA and my best friend and partner in life. HACC was very good to me. I certainly miss those days.

This campus isn’t what it once was. The information desk isn’t helpful at all. Several of the professors make you feel stupid, make snide comments at you & laugh after asking for clarification on something. Some can very rude. No one is ever in the tutoring area. Trying to meet with student counselor is like pulling teeth, everything is done by zoom it seems like anymore in that dept. It’s very unfortunate that the counselors don’t take your personal needs into consideration for learning just throw classes at you to register for. Nothing was ever done about an English teacher last semester, there was 4 students left out of 25 by the end of the semester. I understand we all have personal lives, however, the Professionals are there to educate, help their students, clarify information when needed not to make fun of them, and be a supportive helping their students succeed. It’s seems like in this recent experience several of the Professionals are not helpful and very inconsiderate. Anytime there is an issue, you’re told to contact one man, which it can take him awhile to get back to you, I’m sure it’s bc he is overwhelmed with the amount of complaints and calls from students. As a 31 year old mother, I started college in the fall to pursue an assoc. degree in Addiction and Recovery. Let me just say, I am very shocked and disappointed thus far. This has been the worse educational experience in my life. The financial aid office is all screwed up and doesn't know if they are coming or going. Constantly sending me wrong information. English 101 was a joke. Psychology 101 wasn't terrible but I expected something different. Principles of Math expects students to calculate in Babylonian, Myan, Roman, Chinese, etc. Not 1 thing have I done in the past 4 months has had anything to do with addiction or recovery. This has been a complete waste of time and money. I have not learned a thing. Horrible experience.
